Dumfries Store & Breeding Sheep Report

C & D Auction Marts Ltd held their Annual Nithsdale Show & Sale of Breeding Sheep in Dumfries on Friday 26th August 2016 when their was an entry of 5387 Heads.

2901 Scotch Mule Gimmers were presented to a full ringside of buyers with Gimmers heading to most parts of the country. All vendors left happy with returns with trade being competitive from the first pen to last.

The Show, ably judged by Mr David Bryson, was won with a pen from John Guild, Laight Farm, New Cumnock selling at £180 to John Jardine, Fairgirth.

The Reserve pen was awarded to M/S Hiddleston, Park Farm making £158 to M/S Dalrymple, Kings Arms.

The Nithsdale trophy Championship was awarded to A & A Kirkpatrick, Barr Farm selling at £118 to J Fisher, Flathill.
