The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart P.L.C. had forward 64 prime cattle, 35 over thirty month cattle, 1,867 prime lambs, 343 prime hoggs and 4,767 cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale at Longtown on Thursday 23rd June, 2011.

A larger show of 64 prime cattle forward with a plainer show on offer. Limousin bullocks topped at 196.5p from A. & W.J. Taylor & Son, Dashwell Green. Limousin heifers to 192.5p from J. & N. Blaylock & Son, Hallburn.

The 1,867 prime lambs were the largest show of the season. The sale averaged 202.6p per kilo in line with the national trend. 343 prime hoggs were forward and averaged 158.2p per kilo. Another large show of 4,767 cast ewes and rams were forward to the usual ring of buyers. Ewes were ££3 to £4 back on the week with heavy ewes suffering most.
