prime cattle, 3 young bulls, 19 over thirty month cattle, 178 spring
lambs, 4,912 prime hoggs and 4,233 cast ewes & rams at their weekly
sale at Longtown on Thursday 17th May 2012.
A similar show of prime cattle with plainer types harder to sell,
but Limousin heifers still sold to 222.5p shown by Mr A. Irving, Toppin
Castle and purchased by Mr J. Little, others sold to 216.5p from A. & W.J.
Taylor & Son, Dashwell Green and 214.5p from W. & W. Faulder,
Houghton House. Bullocks topped at 215.5p for a Limousin shown by
Messrs Taylor, Dashwell Green and 214.5p, 212.5p from J.C. & D.
