          Longtown on Thursday 6th  September 2012.
 
 Prime cattle saw a shortage of numbers, quality saw trade good to
            sell, and three times as many could have been sold to advantage.             Top price to 219.5p (twice) for Limousin bullocks from D. & E.

 A larger show of 5,698 prime lambs were a mixed trade this week
            with a big difference between lambs with flesh and lean lambs, good
            lambs regularly sold between 180p and 190p but leaner lambs were
            little more than store price with many more light weight lambs forward.  The sale averaged 179.1p per kilo. Top price of 205p per kilo for
