STORE & BREEDING CATTLE REPORT


The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart held their Annual Special January Sale of store cattle on Tuesday, 20th January 2009, selling 366 store cattle to the biggest ringside of buyers seen for sometime.

Both local and distance buyers ensured a fantastic trade throughout the sale with vendors going home extremely delighted.

Top price of the day was £925 for a 19 month old charolais bull from Shankbridge End Farms, other top prices to £910 for a pen of 12 month old limousin bullocks from A and J N Story, Newbiggin. Heifers to a top of £900 for a 12 month old charolais from A & J N Story, Newbiggin.
