STORE & BREEDING CATTLE REPORT


The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart had forward 146 store cattle and 24 breeding cattle at their fortnightly sale on Tuesday 7th July, 2009.

Store cattle sold to a ring full of keen buyers to a top of £830 and £825 for Limousin bullocks from L.E. Grice & Son, Newtown.

Breeding cattle saw a buoyant trade for a poorer show of cattle. Top of £1,220 for a British Blue cow with Charolais bull calf from A. Spence, Low Brooms.
