The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart had forward 210 store
cattle and 25 breeding cattle at their fortnightly sale on Tuesday
4th August, 2009.
Store cattle met a flying trade with vendors going
home highly delighted. Top price of £880 for a Simmental bullock
from T. & H.
Armstrong, West Craigs, others to £810 from the same home.
Breeding
cattle saw trade similar to the previous sale. Top of £1,300
for a Limousin cow with bull calf from G. & J. Park, Stonehouse.
