STORE & BREEDING CATTLE REPORT


The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart had forward 134 store cattle at their fortnightly sale at Longtown on Tuesday 2nd February, 2010.

More grass cattle were on offer saw an outstanding trade and with plenty of keen bidders in attendance double the numbers could have been sold to vendors advantage. Top price of the day of £860 for British Blue bullocks from J.H. Robinson & Son, Redgate Head, with Limousin heifers to £825 from A. & A. Ewing, Dumbretton.
