STORE & BREEDING CATTLE REPORT


The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart held their fortnightly sale at Longtown on Tuesday 12th April, 2011.

A plainer show of grazing stirks were on offer and met a brisk trade with purchasers looking for cattle to put to the grass. Top price to £900 and £890 for Limousin bullocks from C.J. & B.A. Thompson, Edenbanks. Heifers sold to £850 for Gelbvieh from Mr R. Parsons, Freelands Burr.
