The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart PLC held their fortnightly
sale of Store & Breeding Cattle on Tuesday
11th September, 2012.
An improved show of 93 store cattle with many more strong feeding
heifers on offer saw a top price of £915 (x3) for Charolais
heifers from B.E. & S. Davidson, Bellfield Farm with Charolais
bullocks from the same home to £890.

A large show of 88 breeding cattle saw young cows and calves very
dear and older cows slightly harder to sell. The sale was topped
at £1,720 for a Limousin cow with Limousin bull calf from J.M. & K.E.
Hogg, Bellbank.
