Annual Kirkcambeck Sale of Store Cattle

C&D Auction Marts Limited held their Annual Kirkcambeck Sale of 440 store cattle at Longtown on Tuesday 29th March 2016.

Considering the falling prime cattle prices, the store trade held very firm and the smaller, younger cattle sold particularly well. The sale topped at £1080 for an Aberdeen Angus bullock from R W Telfer, Spadeadam Farm. British Blue bullocks sold to £1030 & £1010 from Messrs Ferguson, Sandbed. Whitebred Shorthorns to £970 for a pen of eight from J Robertson & Son, Becks with Galloways to £940 (x3) also from Becks.
