store sheep ringThe Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart PLC had forward 1,002 store lambs at their sale at Longtown on Tuesday 30th December 2008.

The lambs were very dear and short of requirements. Top was £58.80, £54.80 for Cheviot Mules from High Chesters; Texels £57.80 Gillalees, £55.80 Heugh, £54.20 Whitchesters; Suffolks £54.80 Leahill, £52 Gillalees, £51.80 Whitcastles; Greyfaces £53.20 Leahill, £52.80 Gillalees; North Country Cheviots £57.80 Kelsocleugh, £51.20 Earlside; Hill Cheviots £42.50 Kelsocleugh; Blackfaces £50.80 Gillalees.
