After last weeks buoyant trade, The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire
Farmers Mart PLC, Longtown had forward a very large show of
1,339 ewes with lambs at foot at their sale on Tuesday
23rd April.
 A
turn again in the weather saw trade a little easier on the week,
especially for older ewes with young lambs. Strong outfits still
sought after and young aged shearlings and ewes in demand. The
sale topped at £66 per head for ¾ crop Texels with
singles from M/s Nicholson, The Lake, also for Mule Shearlings
with singles from Raby Grange and Minsca.
