1207 Prime Lambs – the national shortage of properly fleshed lambs due to poor weather has lifted the trade and despite a very mixed show for quality all classes of lambs were dearer on the week with the average for everything forward settling at 188.2p.

Top price per Kg was 206p for Texel Crosses from Messrs J Dobie & Son, Farthingwell. Top price per head was £94.50 also for Texel Crosses from Messrs J Spence & Sons, Boreland, Glencaple.
