Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart PLC held Annual Show & Sale of Suckled Calves and Store Cattle in Dumfries on Monday 18th October 2010 with an entry of 927 Head.

A full ringside of local and distant buyers attended, with trade easily upholding values bucking recent trends.

Prior to the sale the show was ably judged by C Kennedy, North Cowshaw.

Best Single was awarded to L & N Shuttleworth, Drumburn with 11mo Limousin Bullock £730 (197.3p)

Best Pen was awarded to I & I Shuttleworth, Martingirth with 7mo Charolais Bullocks £730 (214.7p)

The Suckled Calves met a very sharp trade with top draw cattle regularly selling at over 200p. Consignors were happy with the days trade with averages back £31 on year.
