Longtown Primestock Sale Report
C&D Auction Marts Limited had forward 9,968 sheep comprising of 5,902 prime lambs and 4,066 cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale at Longtown on Thursday 22nd December 2022.
A similar show of 5,902 prime lambs was forward. All well finished lambs proved a delight to sell, commercial export lambs and lightweight lambs sold to increased rates whilst heavies and best export lambs realised the same high rates of return.
Top price per kilo of 329p for Millenium Blue lambs shown by M & J Kennedy, Lurgan, Perth.
Top price per head of £170 for Texel lambs shown by WN Douglas, Catslackburn, Yarrow.

Rams topped at £205 for Texels from S & R Irving, The Height, Caldbeck.
