STORE & BREEDING CATTLE REPORT


The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart had forward 108 Store Cattle at their fortnightly sale at Longtown on Tuesday 7th June, 2011.

A plainer show of cattle met recent rates with prices peaking at £930 for a Charolais bullock from J.A. & D. Forster, Gillalees who also sold Saler bullocks at £840.

Saler - £840, £615 Gillalees.
British Blue - £740 Bidlake.
Limousin - £725 (x4), £695 (x2) Rinnion Hills.
Shorthorn - £720 (x2) Kirndean.

Heifers
Charolais - £670 (x3) Underwoodhouse.
British Blue - £670 (x3) Bidlake.
Limousin - £595, £585 Hightown, £575 Bidlake.
