Longtown Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Limited held their fortnightly sale of store cattle and suckler calves at Longtown on Tuesday 5th July 2016.

A smaller show of 68 head due to the time of year but non the less trade surpassed recent weeks and twice as many could have been sold to a packed ringside of bidders.

The sale was topped at £1,100 for a pair of Limousin bullocks sold by G.W. Dinnin, Nether Albie.  The heifer section peaked at £1,090 for a Blonde d’Aquitaine shown by J. Robison & Son, Oakwoodhill.  Eight month old Charolais bulls sold to £910 and £900 from D. Story, Greenburn.
