The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart had forward 2,864 store & breeding sheep at their sale at Longtown on Tuesday 8th February, 2011.

Store were a very similar trade. Top was £75.50 for Texels from Springwells, £74 Highmains, £73 Hilltop. Beltex £75 Shoestanes; Suffolks £73 Hillview, Thomasdene & Glenkiln; North Country Cheviot £69 Westview; Cheviot Mules £72 Springwells; Charollais £70 Allfornaught; Halfbreds £73.50 Adderston Shiels; Greyfaces £67 Alton; Hill Cheviots £67.50 Allfornaught; Blackfaces £57 Collin Bank, £54.50 Boghall, £52.50 Lochenkit; Zwartbles £50 Bayles.

Cast ewes £89, £87 Clifton on Bowmount, hill types £64.50 Macherquate. Cast rams £73 Thomasdene.

Inlamb ewes were much dearer on the week. Top was £98 for Greyfaces & Texels from Cowcorse who also sold Mashams at £87 & Cheviots £80. Inlamb Mule hoggs to £100 Hallclose.
