Sale ringThe Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart P.L.C. had forward 927 head of ewes with lambs at foot and also store hoggs at their sale on Tuesday 17th April, 2012.

All classes of ewes with lambs were dearer to a top of £77 each for Cheviot Mule Shearlings with singles from Rabygrange, with Greyfaces with twins to £68 New Hummerbecks.

Ewes with singles to £70.50 for Greyface from Bateyshield, £70 How Farm; Blackface £53 Allensgreen.

Ewes with twins to £70 for Greyface from Bateyshield, £69 How Farm; Texel £69 New Hummerbecks; Suffolk £68 New Hummerbecks; Blackface £53 Allensgreen.

Ewes with triplets to £47 for Blackface from Allensgreen.

Store hoggs still in demand to a top of £102.50 for Texels from Linton House; North Country Cheviot £86.50 Carpet Farm, £82 Adderston Shields; Suffolk £78 Linton House; Blackface £68.50 Albie Rigg; Greyface £68.50 Albie Rigg; Herdwick £64 Rowhead; Swaledale £60 Burnhouse.
