C&D Auction Marts had forward an entry of 7,904 sheep comprising of 5,320 hoggs and 2,584 cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale at Longtown Mart on Thursday 19th March 2026.
PRIME HOGGS
A smaller show of hoggs met an exceptionally strong trade with more required to fulfil buyer demand.
Top price per head of £250 for Bluefaced Leicesters from Chesterhall Parks.
Top per kilo of 541.9ppk for Beltex hoggs from Lurgan Farm. .
