Dumfries OTM & Prime Cattle Report – 23 March 2026
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of OTM and Prime Cattle at Dumfries. Another strong ringside of 12 Buyers actively seeking greater numbers of all types. Trade was much sharper with more feeding cows forward.
Beef Cows average 285.8p/kg to 355p/kg (x2) from Grove Farms, Meikle Barncleugh and to £2822.40 from Mundell, Braehead.
Dairy Cows average 226.5p/kg to 302p/kg and to £2405 from Currie, Barndennoch.
Bulls to 315p/kg and to £3197.25 from Mundell, Braehead.
Prime Cattle sought after selling to 445p/kg, 440p/kg from Jardine, Yett to R Johnstone & Sons Butchers, Annan and to 420p/kg from Mair, Meikleholm to Helliwell, Trovato.
Young Bulls to 375p/kg & £3487.50 from McKie, High Threave.
