Dumfries Prime Sheep Report – 13 May 2026

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their weekly sale of Prime Sheep in Dumfries. Small show of Spring Lambs sold to £200 for Hampshires from Brown, Hollands and to 450p/kg from Maxwell, Hayfield. Prime Hoggs sold at improved rates topping at £213 for Texels from Laird, East Polquhirter and to 431p/kg for Cheviots from Glenkiln Farms, Bettyknowes. Cast Ewes and Rams met a sharper demand with Texels from Ewart, Belridding attaing £330. Rams relaised £275 from Ewart, Belridding.

Lambs (32.1-39kg) averaged 447.2p/kg and topped at 450p/kg from Maxwell, Hayfield

Lambs (39.1-45.5kg) averaged 410.3p/kg and topped at 439p/kg from Maxwell, Hayfield

Lambs (45.6-52kg) averaged 384.6p/kg and topped at 385p/kg from Brown, Hollands
