Dumfries OTM & Prime Cattle Report – 01 June 2026

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of OTM and Prime Cattle at Dumfries. Full steam ahead with new and returning faces reaping the rewards of the Dumfries Prime Ring.

Top price cows was £2,678.40 from Duncan, Whitehall who was also up to £2,649.60. First time consigner Goldie, Greenfield was up to £2,516.5. Ayrshire cows topped at £1,828.50 from Hiddleston, Park. First time consigner Ramsay, Gillespie topped the Dairy cow per kilo at 258p/kg for a Montbeliarde cow. Cast Bulls were up to £2916 for a Limousin Stock Bull from Ewart, Belridding.

Beef Cows average 281.1p/kg to 330p/kg from McMillan, Ballaggan and to £2678.40 from Duncan, Whitehall.

Dairy Cows average 211.7p/kg to 258p/kg from Ramsay, Gillespie and to £1828.50 from Hiddleston, Park.

Bulls average 284.08p/kg to 300p/kg and to £2916 from Ewart, Belridding.

Prime Cattle realised 425p/kg for a Limousin cross heifer from Jardine, Yett to R Johnstone & Sons Butchers, Annan.
