C & D Auction Marts held their weekly sale of 800 Breeding Sheep at Longtown on Tuesday 2nd June 2026

A great show of 560 ewes & hoggs with lambs at foot was forward. Ewes and lambs remain in strong trade. With the leaner sorts dearer on the week. Several new customers round the ringside. More numbers needed each week with plenty of customers looking for sheep.

Topping at £178 per life for a  Texel ewe and lamb from Messrs Thomson, Pilmuir , many more could be sold to advantage every week.
