C & D Auction Marts held their weekly sale of Breeding Sheep at Longtown on Tuesday 16th   June

Ewes and lambs, a smaller show forward on the week as we start to come to the end of the season, with a plainer show of ewes on offer with younger lambs at foot. Topping the sale was a Dutch Spotted ewe with a pair of ewe lambs at foot realising £170 per life from E C Chaplin, Kilry Lodge.

 A larger show of hoggs and lambs forward. Topping the sale for a fantastic pen of Texel cross hoggs with Texel lambs at foot from RJ Muir, Towlaw realising £168 per life. With the overall average of £150 per life being £16 up on year.
