Dumfries Prime Sheep Report – 15 June 2026

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their weekly sale of Prime Sheep in Dumfries. A strong trade for lambs today at Dumfries. Lambs topped at £224 from Hyslop, West Lanegate and Gelston Castle Farms achieving £210 for Texel cross lambs. McMillan, Ballaggan topped the pence per kilo at £4.19/kg for beautiful Texel lambs.

A smaller show of cast Ewes and Rams met a fierce trade. Gelston Castle Farms topped at £230 for a pen of 4 Texel Ewes. Cheviots achieved £160 from Wilson, Newbank. Ewe trade looking strong into next week with more numbers required.
