C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of Store Cattle at Dumfries. 192 forward; strong attendance at ringside with all types continuing to sell easily with more dairy types forward.

Bullocks averaged 390.1p/kg to 450p/kg and £2100

Heifers averaged 379.8p/kg to 464.3p/kg and £1920

Bulls averaged 371.8p/kg to 418p/kg and £1650

Top price of £2100 was made of Limousin Bullocks from Graham of Midtown, Caerlaverock and Henderson of Kirkbride, Auldgirth with Aberdeen Angus Bullocks from Kenyon of New Farm, Southwick realising 450p/kg. Heifers from Ramsay of High Auchneel, Leswalt sold at £1920 for British Blues with Charolais making 464.3p/kg from Quigley of Craigielands Hill, Beattock. Bulls to £1650 (418p/kg) from Bell of North Bowerhouses, Ruthwell with Aberdeen Angus
