Dumfries Prime Sheep Report – 29 July 2026
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their weekly sale of Prime Sheep in Dumfries. Larger ringside of Buyers in attendance with trade following the national trend to average 338.1p/kg (SQQ 343.3p/kg). Fleshed Lambs to £196 and 516p/kg from Craig, Glenhowan. Cast ewes would be easier on the week.
Today Dumfries reintroduced the Young Handlers Competition and what a success. Sixteen of the future farming industry took part from the age of 1 to 15 years old.
