Dumfries OTM & Prime Cattle Report – 10 August 2026

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of OTM and Prime Cattle at Dumfries. Strong entry of 90 OTM & Prime Cattle. Beef Bred Cows & Bulls would seen no change on sale, where as Parlour Cows eased back. Goldie, Skipmyre returned to Dumfries with OTMs today topping at £2470.50 and Smyth, Henderland returned with a run of well fed cows topping at £2374.75. Bunting, Calhamewas up to 3.38p/kg and Taylor, Galdenoch was up to 3.22p/kg.

Dairy bred cows did meet resistance albeit some still achieved 312p/kg and 280p/kg from Allen, Grains and Gibb, Auchencrieff seen 240p/kg. Stewart, Smallholmburn achieved £1874.80 and £1805.50 from Burgoyne, Shenrick.

10 Cast Buls were forward and topped at £3060 from Dodd, Boreland of Southwick and £2854.25 was achieved from Weir, Dressertland. Take full advantage of the ringside of firepower for OTMs and capped expenses.
