Dumfries Store Sheep Report – 28 August 2026

C&D Auctions held their weekly sale of Store Sheep in Dumfries. An attractive entry of 1025 Store Lambs were forward today and greeted by new and old purchasers. A strong local buying power were in force with Buyers travelling as far as Hereford for Store Lambs today.

Texel Lambs from Weir, Dressertland were topping the sale at £131 for a pen of 33 Lambs and closely followed by Hunt, Bushcroft at £127 for a pen of 16. Suffolk lambs topped at £118 for a pen of 39 from Howatson, Hallmeadow. Rorison, Clonrae was up to £114 for Scotch Mule wethers today, but dearest lambs today were long keep lambs achieving £94 for a pen of 101 Cheviots from Weir, Dressertland. We are actively seeking more lambs for a weeks time with a strong entry all ready forward.
