Dumfries Breeding Sheep, Store Lambs & Feeding Ewes Report – 25 September 2026
C&D Auctions held their weekly sale of Store Lambs and Feeding Ewes. A smaller show of Lambs today were forward with predominantly long keep Lambs which were easily sold. Lambs topped at £130 from Guild, Laight and £125 also for this home. Robinson Farming, Sanquhar achieved £122 for a pen of Texel cross Lambs. Suffolks seen £120 from Halliday, Ewanston.
The annual Sale of Blackface Sheep today was topped by D&E Blackstock at £180 for a pen of 9 Gimmers and £180 was also achieved by Hallscaur Farming for a pen of 20.0 D&E Blackstock had pens of Ewes at £138, £135 and Hallscaur Farming achieving £130 and £122.0 Dutch Spotted Ewes topped at £202 from Agnew, Hillend Gardens.
