Dumfries Beef Breeding Cattle Report – 15 May 2026

C&D Auctions held their Spring sale of Breeding Cattle in Dumfries. 111 Heifers/Cows with Calves at Foot, 174 Bulling Heifers and 4 Breeding Bulls.

A full ringside of Buyers were in attendance. Buyers were selective although best sorts easily sold. Heifers with Calves at Foot topped at £4900 for British Blue Heifer with a Bull Calf from Fingland, Garmartin. Cows (2nd Calvers) Angus with Bull Calf to £4000 from Ritchie, Fardingjames. Breeding Bulls; Aberdeen Angus to £3600 from Callymains and Charolais to £3200 from Auchenhay. Bulling Heifers all 1st Dairy crosses selling to £2400 for Limousin from Sloan, Kirktonfield.
