Dumfries Calf Report – 04 May 2026
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of Rearing Calves at Dumfries. The largest entry for some time sold to a keen ringside of buyers and a brisk trade ensued with a total clearance effected. The sale was topped by a strong Belgian Blue cross heifer calf from Messrs A.P. Sloan and Partners, Bruntshields Farm which sold for £900.00.

Belgian Blue cross bull calves to £890.00 and £880.00;
Young Hereford cross bull calves to £500.00;
Young Charolais cross bull calves to £440.00;
Young Belted Galloway cross bull calves to £490.00;
Young Aberdeen Angus cross bull calves to £580.00 (twice);
Young Friesian bull calves to £300;
Young Holstein bull calves to £300;
Belgian Blue cross heifer calves to £900.00 and £800.00;
Young Hereford cross heifer calves to £480.00;
Young Belted Galloway cross heifer calves to £600.00.
