Dumfries Calf Report – 10 August 2026

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of Rearing Calves at Dumfries. A flying trade for calves. Irving, Auchenhay seen £1000 for a Charolais cross Heifer. Martin, Horseholm achieved £750 for a month old British Blue Heifer and £710 for a month old British Blue. Also, Paton of Torrs was up to £570 twice for Belted Galloway Heifers and £500 on six occasions for Belted Galloway Bullocks. Black and White in high demand achieving £660 and £630 for Currie, Barndennoch.

Holstein – £660 & £630 Barndennoch, £460 Tarbreoch

Aberdeen Angus – £500 (x2) Torr

Belted Galloway – £500 (x6) & £490 (x2) Torr

Heifer Principal prices:- 

Charolais – £1000 & £860 Auchenhay

British Blue – £750 Horseholm

Beltie Galloway – £570 (x2) & £510 Torr

Abderdeen Angus – £520 (x2), £500 (x2) & £480 (x2) Torr
