Dumfries Calf Report – 23 March 2026
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of Rearing Calves at Dumfries. There was an increased show of 62 predominantly young (one to two month old) calves selling to a keen ringside of buyers with a total clearance effected. The sale was topped by a three month old quality Limousin cross heifer from Messrs D Kennedy and Sons, Chapelcoft, Dumfries which sold for £1,040.00.

Young Aberdeen Angus cross bull calves to £350.00;
Holstein bull calves to £420.00 (twice);
Limousin cross bull calves to £860.00;
Young Friesian bull calves to £350.00;
Young Hereford cross bull calves to £390.00;
Young British Blue cross heifer calves to £680.00;
Limousin cross heifer calves to £1,040.00;
Young Hereford cross heifer calves to £380.00
