Dumfries OTM and Prime Cattle Report

C&D Auctions Ltd held their fortnightly sale of OTM and Prime Cattle in Dumfries on Monday 14th April 2025.

A good attendance of 12 buyers ensured all classes remain in big demand with grazing types looking especially dear. Beef cows average 275.9p/kg to 375p/kg and £3243.75. Dairy cows average 255.7p/kg to 358p/kg and £2756.60. Bulls averaged 241p/kg to 290p/kg and £2472.50.

A&M Fitzsimon, Tregallon sold a British Blue cross cow at £3243.75 or 375p/kg. Holstein Friesian cows from DR Sloan & Son, Kirktonfield realised £2756.60 or 358p/kg. Prime cattle to 440p/kg for Limousin heifers from J Jardine, Yett to R Johnstone & Sons Buthcers, Annan.
