Dumfries OTM & Prime Cattle Report – 20 April 2026
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of OTM and Prime Cattle at Dumfries. 100 forward; ringside of 12 buyers actively seeking all types and classes. Trade continues to please with feeding cows showing the biggest demand.
Beef Cows average 278.2p/kg to 365p/kg from Mair, Meikleholm and to £2592 from Currie, Skewbridge.
Dairy Cows average 220.5p/kg to 298p/kg from Currie, Barndennoch and to £2205 from Lochhhead, Beyond the Burn.
Larger show of 15 Prime Cattle sold easily to 440p/kg from Jardine, Yett to R Johnstone & Sons Butchers Annan. Others to 402p/kg Burnside, 395p/kg High Threave and 395p/kg Yett all for Limousin Heifers. Charolais to 390p/kg from Burnside.
