Dumfries OTM & Prime Cattle Report – 27 July 2026
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of OTM and Prime Cattle at Dumfries. A bumper entry of 104 OTM and Prime Cattle forward today. Once again we welcomed new and old faces back into Dumfries taking full advantage of the competitive Prime Ring. Top price cow today went to Mair, Meikleholm achieving £2457. Morton, Grennan achieved top p/kg at 332p/kg. Parlour cows were up to 295p/kg and £2401 from Murray, Conheath. Braco Farming returned to Dumfries today with cows comfortably achieving 308p/kg. First time consigner Taylor of Little Galdenoch, Stranraer ventured east today topping at 295p/kg for an Aberdeen Angus cow.
Regular consigner Jardine, Yett presented a well finished cracking heifer achieving 425p/kg to Johnstone Butchers, Annan. Mair, Meikleholm presented at smart Simmental heifer grossing £2345.
