Dumfries OTM & Prime Cattle Report – 29 June 2026
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of OTM and Prime Cattle at Dumfries. A huge show forward with 35 consigners taking full advantage of this growing sale. A plainer show of Cows was presented to an active ringside of Buyers. All in the Buyers were in buying mood and desperate for greater numbers.
Beef Cows realised £2581.25 from MacKinnon, Low Tirfergus and to 315p/kg from Sloan, Rigghead. Average for Beef Cows was 280p/kg.
Dairy Cows to £2184.20 from Currie, Barndennoch and to 278p/kg which was reached three times from from Armour of Killarow, Kintyre, Austin of Upper Portrack and Purdie of Inglestonford. Average for Dairy Cows was 227p/kg.
Bulls to £2835.75 and 295p/kg from Paterson, Hartbush.
Prime Cattle to 430p/kg from Jardine of Yett at Johnstonebridge to R Johnstone & Sons Butchers, Annan.
