Dumfries Prime Sheep Report – 01 April 2026
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their weekly sale of Prime Sheep in Dumfries. A tail end show met with recent high values. Topping today was a pen of Suffolk hoggs at £200 from Harkness, Netherhall, closely followed at £196 from Miss A Weightman, Foregirth with a super consignment of hoggs. First time shepherds Rory & Fraser McKinley, Kirkland presented a pen of strong hoggs achieving £186. SQQ 390.49p/kg overall 363.23p/kg.
All classes of ewes were scarce, and more are wanted for next weeks sale.
