C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their weekly sale of Prime Sheep in Dumfries. Spring Lamb trade was on fire today in Dumfries. Light Lambs averaging 490p/kg, in spec averaging 470p/kg and heavies topped at 468p/kg. Barbour, Carsegowan tops at £220. Texels seen £215 from Shennan, Craigbill. Inspec Suffolks seen £214 & £212 from Paterson, Hartbush. Strawhorn, Broomhillbank was up to 490p/kg. Start drawing lambs for next Wednesday!
