Dumfries Primestock Report

C&D Auction Marts held their weekly sale of Prime Sheep and opening Store Lamb Sale in Dumfries on Wednesday 8th October 2025.

A good show of Store Lambs forward which met plenty of trade to a good ringside of buyers. Pens of Texel, Blue Texel and Suffolk Lambs reached £115 from Wilson, Sandilands; Hunt, Bushcroft and twice for Howatson, Hallmeadow. Prime Lambs with weight and flesh were easily sold as lighter lambs met some resistance. Average for sale 296.43p/kg and SQQ 297.33p/kg. Cast ewes and rams again were in great demand.
