C&D Auctions held their weekly sale of Prime Sheep in Dumfries on Wednesday 16th July 2025.

An increase of buyers attending resulted in all classes being wanted. Overall average 365.3p/kg. Don’t hesitate to bring lambs to the ringside as all types and sizes, especially heavies are in demand. HW Sloan, Rigghead sold Charollais lambs at £200 with Texels from J Muir, Cleughbrae reaching 399p/kg. A plainer show of ewes forward which met an upbeat trade. Many more ewes needed in Dumfries weekly to fulfil buyers requirements.
