C&D Auctions held their weekly sale of prime sheep in Dumfries on Wednesday 23rd April 2025.

Lighter fleshed Hoggs were easily sold, with heavies meeting some resistance. Dorest Spring Lambs sold to £164 and to 356p/kg from SRUC Barony. Hoggs topped at £168 for Texels from J Quigley, Craigielands Hill and to 346p/kg from H McLeish, West Skelston. All classes of Cast Ewes and Rams continue to be in demand, selling to £280 for a Texel Ram from RW Nairn, Shieldhill. Many more could be sold on a weekly basis.
