C&D Auctions held their weekly sale of Prime Sheep in Dumfries on Wednesday 23rd July 2025.

A larger show of 837 prime lambs realise an overall average of 343p/kg. Don’t hesitate to bring lambs to the ringside as all types and sizes, especially heavies are in demand sold. Top price of £197 per head (386ppk) for Blue Texel lambs from SN Graham, Hillend. A larger show of ewes forward with a lot of plainer types seeing trade slightly less on the week. Many more ewes needed in Dumfries weekly to fulfil buyers requirements.
