Dumfries Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auctions held their fortnightly sale of store cattle in Dumfries on Monday 3rd March 2025 with 450 forward.

No let up in trade as demand for all classes continues to be exceptional.

The sale was topped at £2660 for Aberdeen Angus Bullocks from J Harkness & Son, Netherhall with Limousin Bullocks making 553.8p/kg from TE & IJ Davies, Low Peninver.

Heifers to £2100 with Salers from W Templeton & Son, Glenlaugh with British Blus selling at 457.1p/kg from  TE & IJ Davies, Low Peninver.

Bulls sold to £990 and 408.3p/kg from J MacDondaldn & Co, Drumyeonmore. The seasonal debut of 10 month old cattle from T I Bell & Son, Cormaddie sold to £1920.
