Dumfries Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report
C&D Auctions held their fortnightly sale of Store Cattle in Dumfries on Monday 7th July 2025.
Buyers from North, South, East and West were present with trade as dear as ever reflecting the increased attendance forward. Heifers topped at £2280 from Wright, Innerfield and to 466.7p/kg from Ewart, Belridding. Bullocks sold to £2130 from Jackson, Newbarn and to 466.7p/kg from Ewart, Belridding. Bulls to £1090 from MacDonald, Drumyeonmore Argyll and to 383p/kg from KMB Farmers, Ardlamy, Gigha.
A small show of Breeding Cattle was keenly sought selling to £2450 for Angus Cows with Bull Calves at foot. Monthly sale of Dairy Cattle met plenty of demand selling to £2300 for Holstein Friesian Cow (In calf).
