Dumfries Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auctions held their fortnightly sale of store cattle in Dumfries on Monday 17th February 2025 with 393 forward.

All classes continue to sell at levels beyond sellers expectations with buyers very active for both dairy cross and suckler bred cattle. Bullocks averaged 368.17p/kg and sold to £2160 from WJ Keaning, Depsterton and to 429.40p/kg from J Ross Freeman & Son, Clarencefield. Heifers averaged 350.37p/kg and sold to £1820 from A&F Baillie, Low Glasnick and to 400p/kg from John McMillan, Ballaggan.
