Dumfries Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auctions held their fortnightly sale of Breeding Cattle and Store Cattle at Dumfries on Monday 24th November 2025.

A small show of Breeding Cattle forward. Aberdeen Angus Bulls from R McLean, Moffat Angus attracted plenty of interest selling to £4000 (x2), £3900 and £3600. Aberdeen Angus Heifers in calf to £2800 from DC Farming, Rue.

300 Store Cattle again met a strong trade. Bullocks to £2230 from Spence, Boreland and to 498.2p/kg from Graham, Hillend to average 401.7p/kg. Heifers to £2340 and to 487.8p/kg from Herries Farms, Lantonside to average 378p/kg. Bulls to £1340 and to 490.9p/kg from MacDonald, Drumyeonmore to average 403p/kg
